His girlfriend hates him, his apartment is trash and he's on a hopeless downward spiral that reaches towards plenty of dark places. Heavy Damage: More of an exhibition than anything, Heavy Damage is the very first short story I ever wrote back a decade ago. Casey Tripper is best friends with the man telling this story, who feels he has become betrayed by him and ruins his own life because of it in a nasty, grisly and shocking way. This is the weakest of the three, but I had to start somewhere.
